The role combines ownership of ATCOMM's in-house software applications with the design and development of practical AI solutions to improve productivity, automate workflows and support teams in adopting and using these technologies effectively.

Key responsibilities

Software Development & Integration

• Maintain, enhance and develop our in-house applications.
• Design, develop, test and deploy software solutions that meet our business needs.
• Develop APIs, databases, system integrations and automation workflows.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software, application and integration issues.
• Apply secure development practices and maintain appropriate technical documentation.

AI Solutions & Productivity

• Design and deploy targeted AI solutions (LLMs, RAG, automation) addressing concrete business needs.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate AI technologies including security, performance, scalability, reliability and cost, relevant to our organisation.
• To appropriate and document existing developments, including those carried out by external suppliers.
• Maintain and continuously improve deployed solutions.

AI Adoption & Support

• Train and support employees in the practical use of deployed AI tools.
• Act as the internal go-to person for AI-related questions.

Qualifications & Skills

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent.
• Strong experience in software development, system integration and application design.
• Practical experience in designing and developing AI solutions using technologies such as LLMs, AI APIs, RAG, AI agents and automation.
• Understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, operating systems and information security principles.
• Strong communication skills, comfortable explaining technical concepts to non-technical colleagues.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to design and implement solutions independently.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, AI governance or related security frameworks would be an advantage.
